Week two of bus training.

Well, I have passed the CDL section of my testing, we still have a few big tests on the horizon but I think I am over halfway. I know I haven't posted anything for a few weeks but I am looking forward to doing something over the long weekend. Please keep coming back for more updates.

Work Update.

So for those of you that have not heard or read, I got a new job. I am an "Operator for Metro Transit, a division of Metropolitan Council"...I am a bus driver for the the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Well not quite yet. I am still in training. about FIVE WEEKS worth of training! This last week of training, my first day, is the introduction, the first day is fun and then those after are literally "heres your books, heres your coat, whats your hurry!" 2 quizes, a few miles of walking, 32 hours of book work, mix in a BUNCH of late night studying and 4 days of getting up at 5am and one at THREE AM and you would have a good idea of my week.

I am sorry but at least for the next few weeks this will take up all my time as I am learning the ins and out of everything. I will post sketchs and what not when I can but this I have to get through and I just have to "put my head down, put my shoulder into and just get it done."
I will let you know when things start to calm down and what you can expect.

On a Final Note...!

THIS was done to my bus yesterday before routes, some of the people I work with decided to "trick my bus out" as my friend John said to me "You didn't want a party, but they are not going to let you get away quietly." We'll, I AM fortunate to have friends.... I just wish they didn't like me SO MUCH!!! ;)

This mornings "run."

I received all this this morning on my am elementary route, with my last day being tomorrow I was overwhelmed. Did I mention I drive the BEST kids EVER?!?!

...Where All Pets Go.

Well it's official, the cat is out of the bag. I have told everyone that I know that I will be not driving school bus after this Friday. The Metro Transit Commision has offered me a job driving and I have excepted. It has taken several months of going back and forth but I finally got my acceptance letter. I chose not to tell anyone that I got it until I could tell my school bus kids first. The news spread like WILD FIRE. We had some tears but mainly they understood after I talked to them, they are very excited as am I.

This will change how I do comics, I am not really sure how but I will be working that out over the next month or two, THAT'S why I have no December cartoons. I will still be posting sketches and what not but, until I can get into a rhythm, everything has to be put on hold.

Flash Back to Last Year

With the long Holiday over I am glad to be back to some kind of "normal" schedule. Don't get me wrong, I love vacations but they just put off my sleeping and waking times.

Over the last few days I have been thinking alot about the up comming December schedual and I have decided that I am going to take a break from STV for at least the month of December. I have a book deal in the works and am working on some other projects as well, such as an animation project and I can use more of that time in different ways. We will see how the month turns out.

I am still going to be releasing a new book for the year soon as well as the final comic for the year. With a lot of things changing over the next month, I can use every last minute I can get. More on that later.
